Stopped in for take out for 2. I placed my order at the counter with a warm and helpful waitress. Asked how long (15min) & ran across the parking lot while it was being cooked. Back within 15 and my meals were out on time. The lovely hostess reminded me to check my order prior to leaving. I'm sure the hunger helped, but my pastrami Reuben was delicious. Unfortunately the fries had cooled by the time I arrived at my destination, but they weren't bad, maybe they needed pepper or salt to taste. Meal came with sauerkraut and a pickle. Other customers in the diner all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I would definitely come back here.

If, for whatever unfortunate reason, you find yourself in Commack and need a place to eat, I can't recommend this place enough. The food is good, the service is fantastic, and everyone there is really nice. My dad and I both frequent this diner and we haven't had a bad experience with it yet.

The candlelight Diner has been around forever And that's because of the great service and excellent food. This is a family run business. Our waitress, Victoria was very attentive funny and polite. My family and I always enjoy going to the diner whether it be for breakfast or dinner. Very consistent. I would highly recommend this restaurant / diner .
